Blown up for (semi)legibility. And... hm... I've lost track of the count.... And, oh yeah: I work at a place called the CBC. Which I absolutely must quit. Even if it means breaking up the League of Superheroine-ism.
Hey there. And I needed a reminder to catch back up on your lj--I confess to being really bad about reading my friends list. Every month or so I go, "Oh, heck!" and click on someone's name and hit the backlog. So, ::hugs:: back to you.
You should be made aware that I've been sniffing imps on a regular basis.
Oh yeah, imps ... I meant to order some ... I wonder if I can find that post waaaaay back with suggestions of which ones I might like ...
Hey, remember the superhero story I wrote for Fusion, with the heroine whose power was the ability to blind criminals with her painfully white skin? I should dig that one up again - if I remember correctly, it was amusing.
Also, cool icon. Is there are larger version with more detail?
I found the post with bpal recommendations: here ya go (http://meritahut.livejournal.com/82258.html). Before you order any, let me know what you've decided on, in case I already have it. I have some that are nice but definitely not for me that I should pass along to someone else--and one scent I really don't think is nice at all (I'm looking at you, "De Sade"). We should probably consult with xanath about swapping stuff, too. Not that I was able to resist placing an order right after reading the catalogue.

Ahem. Neither was I. I'm going to try to get away with the excuse that the bpal.org board is offline. I did restrain myself to the extent that I only ordered one six pack of imps, though. I'm going to give Rakshasa, Hecate, Aureus, Bengal, Dublin and Debauchery (I have high hopes for this one) a try.
Heck, they're only $16. And I've given up hope on finding a commercially available perfume that doesn't make me smell like a cheap whore.
Some of the bpal scents make me smell like a really expensive whore. And I kinda like it.
I haven't tried any of the ones on your list, so I look forward to your reviews. I'd just started posting reviews on bpal.org right before it went down. In the meantime I've been getting my fix at bpalanonymous. They have a "Tags" page (linked on the right of the main page) that links to reviews of different scents.
So far I love Rose Cross and Athens, and I like Bon Vivant and Two Five & Seven. Clio was all right--I was hoping for more oomph. I like oomphy scents. Lightning was nicely fresh and beachy for a little while before turning into seafood. Bess smelled like rotten fruit, but I'll give it another go.
My mother thinks Athens is unbearably stinky, which makes me sad since I could happily drench myself in it but now fear I will terrifyingly offend the people around me. I got some weird frimps (Othello, De Sade). De Sade was all burnt cow to my nose.
I still have some more imps in the box to try. I should make a list.
