I kept falling asleep all day, or this would have posted before midnight Eastern time.

I'm not sure I'm awake right now, either. This is a common condition for me.

I found the missing art boards (I'd left them at the art space where I work once a week, because I'm just that aware of my surroundings) and finished up the inking and scanning today.

I have a big project to complete tonight and tomorrow, so I'll aim for a Sunday comic next, but probably not a Saturday one :)

For now, just this one row of talking heads (oh, talking heads, you are so easy to draw). I'm working on the continuation. (Could it be more talking heads? The anticipation!)

I'm already weird/wired early in the morning (it's very early as I'm type this), and I haven't even had any caffeine. Must be spring.

New comic, inked and lightly shaded.

Posting here, on spqrblues.com, and a little bit early on Patreon. Next, I plan to post a Friday comic. After that--maybe a regular schedule again?

It's a new era in Rome!

Well, it's a new, borrowed laptop at home, so I can actually get work done--on the comic, on the hideously-long-delayed Kickstarter, and on freelance projects--without everything taking hours to process and crashing in the middle and shredding the files. And I didn't even have to burn Rome down to start over again. (I didn't have to, but that doesn't mean I won't. Just sayin'.)

The borrowed laptop (which henceforth will be dubbed simply "the laptop") saved the big Photoshop file for this comic in 3 seconds instead of 5 nail-biting minutes like the old laptop. I'm still figuring out how to set up preferences so the cursor behaves the way I want it to instead of skittering drunkenly all over the screen when I try to dab some shadow under the Emperor's nose, and I don't have all my fancy Photoshop brushes installed yet, but I'm working on this.

One downside is that I'm not liking the new Photoshop (trial) version's overeager attempts to get me to feed its overlords information on everything I'm doing. Sshhh...don't tell it I said anything mean about it. I'm a little scared of it.
