Too much catsup!

(Actually, the fries didn't make it to the theatre.)

Oh, that's perfect. :) I don't know whether to see it so I can laugh, or see it just to cringe, or . . . you know, it has Viggo Mortensen in it, so the hell with it. I'll see it.

Well, Viggo has looked better. But he does have those long long legs that nearly knocked me unconscious in that one LotR scene where he's sitting in Rohan waiting for the watchfires and he gets up and lopes across the screen from right to left and, and, and *swoon*

Oh, uhm, I mean: He is a very solid actor.

Can't say as much for the plot of this movie :-P

Random note ... I'm a comic geek friend of [livejournal.com profile] amedia (think we had a brief conversation there about my icon and the Finder series), and I meant to add you to my flist ages ago when she pointed out that you did spiffy comics ... so, um, I forgot. Mentioned I'm also a goober, right? Anyway, I'm friending you, hope that's alright. :D

Hi, friend :-)

I picked up a copy of the first Finder collection day before yesterday. Devoured it completely yesterday. Am considering spending all my pennies buying the rest today. The protagonist looks an awful lot like how I draw one of the characters in a round-robin group I belong to with [livejournal.com profile] xanath, only more, uhm, hairy, and a whole lot less stable >:-) Anyway, I love it, and thank you for pointing me toward it.

Oooo, yay! I still love every single issue of the series, but I do have a bit of a fondness for the first series, mostly because of my fondness for Marcie and her family. Jaeger tends to move around, so the story hasn't involved them for some time, and I miss them.

I'm so glad you like it! I love turning people on to that book, because it's such a one-woman labor-of-love (I'm sure you don't know anything about those, huh?) and I get a warm and fuzzy feeling when someone else discovers it. :D

OMG! Hi! It's Nathan.

Remember? From game nights at Gia and Jim's house? I've added you as a friend on here. Iolo introduced me to your website and the comics are hilarious. I want to keep in touch with you. You are wonderfully funny and I miss your creative and always spot on wit. Anyway, I hope all is well.

Do I remember? Crazy lad. Of course I do. Plus, I put you in a comic a coupla weeks back :-D Uhm, er, sorry about that.

I hear you are slicing all your rapier competition to figurative shreds. I miss being able to fence regularly, and am hideously jealous that you're doing so incredibly well. I bet you have spiffy garb, too. Do you go to Tuesday evening practice? I was planning to phone Iolo today and find out if he's going so I can tag along hiding behind him and not feel scared and vulnerable and dumb and crazy, as I am wont to feel.

(Is that JRM in your icon? Kinda looks like him, although at that size it could be some other set of great cheekbones. More swooning.)

Please come to Tuesday evening practice for I shall be there slicing and dicing. I can't wait to get to the comic I'm in. I've enjoyed reading them a lot. The icon is a singer called Ben Jelen. I've heard a couple of his songs and have been not been terribly impressed with his music. I'm more impressed with his...um...piano playing...yeah his really-cute-with-a-nice-body piano playing.
:)

I can really respect a guy with good piano playing, myself.

Now that you say the name, I can make out the teeny tiny lettering on his left piano.

If you want to skip ahead, the comic is this one (http://www.livejournal.com/users/meritahut/52256.html) (also here (http://10kd.outsidefood.com/archives/000147.html)). Please remember that all depictions are merely the artist's shorthand done at a very teenty tiny scale, and all dialogue is, er, compressed for effect. Yeah. That.
