Somebody find me a mopNo comic today on account of flooding and roof leaking.

Two tomorrow, unless my sketchpad and I are completely waterlogged.

Then I hit the road. Maybe.

There's nasty orange water dripping into the hallway, plaster is falling off the ceiling, I've been up on the roof twice trying to brush pools of water out of sunken spots created by an apparently sub-par roofing job, and it's still raining, some highways along my route are flooded, I dunno when I am starting this trip, and I keep thinking, if my supervisor had just let me go when I'd asked to go, or had let me go back when I was originally told I could go, I wouldn't be sitting here grumbling and wondering how long I can survive if I just resign from my job right here and now and nap for a week....

I really really really really need a teleporter right about now. And some really large towels to mop up the floor, and myself, and for the cat to walk on. And just a tiny bit of sunlight.

Bah. Pah.

Anyway, I have very little time to get the TX business taken care of, so I will be en route soon, ready or not. I'll keep you up to date on the itinerary.

Bah.

We actually have an honest-to-goodness guest bedroom now, so keep them in mind. It has its own little TV with a built-in VCR.

In fact, that's all the furniture that's in there right now. :-)

We also have a guest bedroom. All we need now is a guest. (hug)

Make it be dry!

My cat is behaving much the same way after a week of this endless rain. Bah, I don't think I could live in rainy towns.

People often extol the charms of Seattle or Vancouver, but I understand both cities are frequently damp. It would make me crazy. I lived in London for a while, and it was never as murky as its reputation. Either I caught it in a lucky year, or it was just the right amount of dry-to-damp ratio.

The cat is still extremely irritated. The stairs leading up to "her" room keep getting wet. This is not acceptable, not at all. I try to tell her she would be a whole lot less happy if we lived in New Orleans, but she's lacking in sympathy when her delicate little paws are wet and untidy.

Bah.

Oh dear, oh dear. Feeling that if only I hadn't stood on the street talking with you for the extra half-hour after dinner, you'd somehow be drier! So sorry if I kept you from important roof-patching missions.
Hope the roads will be better than you expect.....

Molly
