Outnumbered, up against forces that are much more destructive than he ever could be, but fighting on and winning at least partial victories. So far.
I really like how Sweetum's toga more or less defines the area of the portrait (I say more or less because of the gray area behind him) and how wise and benevolent he looks. More so than many emperors I could name (*cough*Domitian*cough*).
And the action shot of Felix--wow! Dude means business.
I doodled Toga-Bear Sweetums a few more times while waiting for a meeting this afternoon. Soon I will perfect the Toga-Bear!
I miss drawing warrior Felix. Spending-his-20th-birthday-besieging-a-city Felix. So young. So bloodthirsty. If I redraw it with a revised uniform maybe I'll include the same amount of, um, blood as on the Saga cover... Not sure I have enough red ink for that, though....

Felix on top of the temple wall's battlements watching the temple burn. Behind him the city burns as well.
