The title of this one should perhaps be "Oops."

Yeah, oops.

Oh, that last panel. The quintessential oops look.
Hey look! Drama has come and bit them in the butt. :(
Oh Klio, why couldn't you wait for a couple of days?

BTW, she does look lovely in that panel. Fit for a visit to a temple.

Je ne regrette rien.

Hopefully neither will Iusta.

Readers could pretend the Sunday comics didn't happen... :P

I listened to that song yesterday. I think Iusta does not regret it either. I believe that she is feeling sorry for Alexander out of a sense of duty rather than emotional loss.

If she loves Felix then she probably will let the matter die and will be glad that the child will be Felix's and probably will make sure of that as well.

There's always that thorny problem of doing what's right by the law, by the gods, by custom. But she's young enough surely to find it all very confusing and hard to figure out. Hard enough to figure out something like this if you're old and grizzled.

I think she will leave it at that. She probably will make double sure that any child is Felix's and that will be that. She has moved on and any duty she may had for Alexander died with him and her period came during their stay on Misenum.

Of course, you may change that, since after all you are the author.

Gentlemen, you may wish to avert your eyes. It's about to get biological all up in here.

Urbana, who it turns out is as or even more experienced than a midwife about this end of pregnancy, will have seen four types of circumstances Misenum could herald:

1. Bleeding, but the pregnancy continues

2. Loss of a pregnancy

3. Just another ordinary month

4. Actually the indication of a successful conception

I warned you gents.

LMAO. I think I made myself misunderstood. I meant that as far as Iusta is concerned any attempt at pregnancy died when she bleed that day in Misenum. From now on any child will be Felix's. That is her decision, biology be damned.

And I am quite used to girl talk. I was the only male in an office with 6 females and was subject to a lot of girly talk, including one impromptu "whose leg is the most beautiful" pageant for my eyes only.

Thank God my dad is a MD and he made extra sure that the human body held no secrets for me, my sister and my brother.

:)

I can't decide whether I prefer using "real" watercolours or doing colours digitally. Jenn Manley Lee (http://www.jennmanleylee.com/blog/) recommended some digital brushes way back when, and they're coming in handy now.

p.s. - thank you for the comment/feedback on the "oops" face. I'm working on figuring out whether the characters are showing enough expression and reactions.

I could understand where the not-enough-expressions person was coming from, because anime has a very different facial language. For my part, I'm coming at this from more of a background in comics like Prince Valiant and The Phantom, which are much more stoic, so your expressions look pretty expressive to me.

[I almost wrote, "from a Prince Valiant/Phantom background," but that would have been wrong. And bad. And wrong. *tries to stop thinking about it*]

Wait... "AM now thinking about it"? What's the proper grammar for such things???

I think it's "is," because the comical descriptors encased in asterisks or colons always seem to be third person.

Or we could go more Latin-ish and just say "about it now thinking."

I'll go with "it's the internet ha ha that's how it is." I'm a little wrung out today :)
