His family might even be from some small Greek island, where there's nothing else to do but rebel. (In a bored-teenage way involving fashion choices and music, that is, not as in insurrection against the Empire bound to be put down swiftly and mercilessly...)
I love the expressions on every single face. Even on that hand on panel 2! (It's saying, "I'm not going to tell my mistress she's hysterical. You sure YOU want to risk doing that?")
