I hope it wasn't me

SPQR Blues temporary mirror site here.

The servers that host spqrblues.com are offline. Hopefully they'll be fixed soon, and of course you can read the comic here. I want to wait until they're back up and running before posting a new comic, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything is working in the morning.

I blame the Ides, of course.

ETA: You can't read them here, because almost all the images are hosted on the server that's offline. Ugh. I've posted the latest strips on another site temporarily, Dik-dik Books.

logoDik-dik Books is home to a writing collective of fantasy, science fiction, and historical romance authors. You may have seen an ad on and off on the SPQR Blues site for various mature-readers-only Roman romance novellas. Some of the Dik-dik Books stories aren't saucy :)

I know it's not your fault. It's gotta be the Ides. :)

Or I could say that so many thousands of Romanophiles flocked to the comic in commemoration of the Ides that it brought servers throughout the Midwest down :D

I personally blame Ol' Smoky grumbling in the background, muttering, "I'm ready for my close up, Ms. DeMille..."

Tripping the earthquake sensors, forcing the servers to park the hard drive read-write heads, nobody can find the key that resets the power, having fallen off the shelf during the shaking...

Yeah. That's my theory. I'm sticking to it.

Worse, the only copy of the Procedures manual for resetting the servers is in Latin...

A clear argument for teaching Latin in elementary schools.
