My day could have used some good sound effects like ZAP-glance-CLICK-ZAP. It's mostly typity-type-ARRRGGH-tappity-tap-GARGH. Needs more ZAPs to liven things up.
It was a volume of The Elsewhere Chronicles. There you were in the bibliographic record as "trl" (or translator, to people who don't speak bib record)!
I have many sound effects at work, but usually they are more along the lines of my saying, "There are still LEGOs on the floor!" 45 times in a row.
The sponsor of our teen anime/manga club asked for it, and I was so excited to get them in! They're going to be popular.
These are the LEGOs we have. The kids go *nuts* for them. We're sending two teams to regional FIRST LEGO finals next month, so I'm anticipating a very long day very full of robots!
Wow, I wish I had those when I was trying to build a solenoid and build a robot. I...I'd be a totally different person now if I'd put together a working robot...and we'd be riding robot horses on Mars, I tell you!
Or I'd have become a power-mad conqueror ruling Gotham with my legion of mechanical monsters. One or the other.
I grumbled a lot while setting up the new layout, but it turned out not to be too bad. I just wish LJ had made it clear, ever, that using the old interface meant some people wouldn't be able to see you at all. Grumble grumble.
Well, I took a day off work yesterday (sort of) for recuperation, slept a lot (only had one nightmare involving washing a red shirt in hot water, then being moved to a substandard hotel room, scary), and am up bright and early--and aside from the usual pains and complaints don't feel so bad. There's a big sheet of comicky drawing paper in front of me, and if I can get the cat off it, maybe I can pencil a comic before I have to start my weekend errands.
Awww, Klio, take care of yourself, okay? Meanwhile, I love the series of Felixes - all the way from "bleached out"* to "bad sunburn". Glad to hear you're improving.
*EEEP! Why is Felix so pale? Has HE been sick too, Klio? WHAT** are you hiding from us?!?!? ;)

Also! Unlike Felix, who is strong-like-taurus in spite of poisonous fumes and whatnot, I am still dragging around after only a few hours out of bed! I just do not yet have that R20 healthy glow on my cheeks :P But no one at my job seems to have caught anything from me, so that's good.
If I get as pale as Felix in that first sketch, I should probably proceed immediately to the nearest vampire or zombie hangout, but at the moment, I'm mostly just cranky :)
