Can you PM me your address? I might have a scanner that is legal-document-sized lying around. I need to see what we did with it. It's not the fancy big scanner you want to upgrade to, but it DOES work.
That is super SUPER generous of you. Right now my little Canon scanner is working again, but my old backup scanner is beyond kaput and needs to be recycled or something.
On the other hand, I just spent the cost of a cheap scanner when you add up all the pens I bought over the past couple of months, but maybe my problem is that I buy cheap scanners. Every time I think "just go to the store and buy another one," I either put the money in the "11x17 scanner" fund... or, er, pay bills with it :P Right now I'm confused about which brand of 11x17 scanner will work right with a Mac. It looks like the "inexpensive" ones start around $700. Yipes.
Or I could break down and get another little scanner. I really think I have some sort of a mental block against it.
