Just read on buymeaclue's journal that fellow former Risleyite Matt Ruff is apparently a Tiptree winner for Set This House In Order: A Romance of Souls. No other commentary. Well, except the commentary that today I spent hours debating whether or not to take what is basically an entry-level assistant job with microscopic pay.

We lived in the same weird creative & performing arts dorm, Risley Residential College. Since I lurked in the dorm computer room nearly as much as he did, I'd occasionally be the guard for whichever Mac he was using, when he stepped out for a break from writing his first novel.

Which novel was, of course, published. We're all so proud of the lad. Except for when we're burning up with fiendish jealousy :-P

Soon I'll write a brilliant novel and win a Tiptree award. Any day now.
