I usually like to reply to every comment (usually with some sleep-deprived attempt at wit), but if I missed replying to yours on the previous entry, that's just because I'm busy scribbling the next comic :)
Why, back in the day, women had to give birth while irrigating the fields, tie the umbilical cord, then put the baby to work too. This spoiled lass has a comfortable kitchen floor behind some old jars, all to herself, and will only have to haul some washing water and cook breakfast in between contractions.
I think it's just that. Plus she has no idea where the baby's father is, or will be. Besides she's still slave, isn't she, so the baby will belong to her owner and not to her.
I think that's more than enough reasons to be slightly irrational.
Good for Mus. I'll be bouncing on my chair waiting for more.
And yes, I do owe you some literature. It will likely appear under a locked entry in my journal. Heh.
I was in bed by 9:00 last night. Yesterday totally kicked my ass. Today looks better. Now if there was only a way I could put the car on autopilot and write on my drive, then I'd have a good six hours a week to devote to just that.
Although, sleep is good too... I don't know about anyone else here, but I can be patient (well, mostly. Gah! It would be easier if you weren't so good!)

Date: 2009-08-20 04:43 am (UTC)My cat is fairly terrified of bubbles, for some reason, poor thing. Maybe one aggressively went after her nose once.

This icon is my current cat, Koron, who is named for the Dark Lord in one of our stories.

Date: 2009-08-20 08:41 am (UTC)"something is wrong"... Another problem birth ? First it's Jochanan who had to be turned around, and now what's going on with Felix Junior ?
Or is it just that it's Spendusa's first baby, and she's scared as hell ?

*fingers firmly crossed for good outcome* and *hoping that Mus' little sister isn't going to pop out of one of those jars*
