spqrblues: (Blues 4 Damon again)

always trust your local constabulary10kd Countdown: Can there really still be 6777 to go? 10,000 is a much, much bigger number than I thought. And speaking of which, if you haven't seen it yet, and even if you have, check out Scott Bateman's 10kd. I kinda want to own them all and paper a room with them.

Volcano Countdown: not yet.

Should have just run

Probably better for him that he didn't just run away. He doesn't seem to be very good at it.

Oh. You know what, you're right. He's kind of awful at it.

Clearly you should have rolled him some better stats. Even for a low-level thief, he's pretty shoddy.

He must have put all his points into Constitution and Knack-for-Highly-Coincidental-Random-Encounters....

Well, at least it looks like Damon's managed to come through a hella lotta crap relatively (this is a highly subjective term, I know) unscathed, despite his youth. As I've known resilient kids subjected by the whims of fate to crummy situations (obviously not necessarily just like his :p), I'm holding out some hope he might eventually manage; local "Jerks With Attitude" (tm) notwithstanding...

Yeah, I think about one particular kid I know IRL whose life turned into a hella lotta crap. Maybe Damon will be too resilient for even a volcano to get the better of him :)

I love the change of scene with the two storyline's crossing. Also, the fact that the servant is carrying a torch indicating it's night is a nice touch as well. I hadn't realized it until I saw it.

All in all very subtle queues to establish scene.

I don't think I've changed scenes mid-row very often. Lookit me, getting all experimental. I need a lie-down to recover...

lol I love it as well, you should do this more often!! n.n
Anyway, I hope the poor Damon gets some help from his dad soon... otherwise, when he finds his long-lost son, he'll have to scrape him off the floor. And Helvius is quite a fine doctor, but he wouldn't be of much help in that case, since I'm pretty sure he is no Dr. Frankenstein. (... or is he?! O___O''''')
