Curb your enthusiasmPretend this posted on Sunday, and I might even manage another one for Monday.

Oooo... comic!

Nice entry way and then I liked panel three with the servant examining the goods in the back ground.

Have a happy monday!

And of course Menander is just checking to make sure his master, whose grooming he is after all responsible for, doesn't have any stray chin hairs needing removing. He is a dutiful servant.

Thank you for liking the entryway XD I need to keep a reference book of such things handy so I don't always end up wandering my own archives looking for the last time I drew something :)

Monday again. Just can't get around it....

I'm glad you're posting again. :)

I continue to love the way you draw Menander's face. He looks so Greek Statuary. It's very striking. Mus still looks young, but he's been looking less young lately. He's growing up. D'awww.

Menander could probably earn his keep just by standing around in someone's garden ornamentally. I've always wanted that sort of garden, and am terribly annoyed I'm not filthy-rich enough to have one yet...

If Mus grows up too much, he might need a different nickname :)

With living ornamental statues in it?

Why, yes. So much easier to rearrange the furniture when it can move on its own and sit in new poses. And I wouldn't require the statues to stand in complex poses when I'm not actually there. Sometimes they could just drape themselves over couches and silk pillows and look languid. I would be a very fair filthy-rich crazy person.

Well, I've dreamt of a palanquin with six Nubian slaves... four to carry the palanquin, one to fan me with one of those fancy feather fans, and one to feed me peeled grapes. I'd have to be filthy rich too, to be able to hire those slaves.

(Of course I'd hire them, not own. I don't have room for six slaves. Not to mention the palanquin.)

EDIT: Oh, handsome Nubian slaves. Handsome of course. It just wouldn't be the same with ugly ones.

In a loincloth.

Poor Mus, looking like he's going to his inevitable doom. Still, I give huge props to the guy for realizing that it's important.

Our little Mus is growing up. (grin)
