I should ink this somedayI've had to make do with some less-expensive paper, and alas it doesn't take the ink as well, smears when I erase, and loses a lot of the ink even if I erase gently. Bit of a bummer. But it's not the paper's fault I haven't finished panel 2. grrr. snarrl. etc.

Stag night, part three... yes, there's a part two floating around somewhere... not yet inked... don't worry, you didn't miss too much

Panel 1 is PRICELESS. Panel 2 is BRILLIANT.

Carol, you are free to stretch the agony of this story as long as you like -- we can take it.

Carry on!

Oh, and here I was, planning to put you out of your misery with a quick, painless stoke. Now that I have permission to make it agonising, well...

Caran d'Ache makes a cool TechniK eraser that shouldn't fade your ink at all. It's translucent and you can pick one up at Blick on Bond St.

Thank you for the rec! I'll try to get one tomorrow.

And once I'm in there, I will no doubt go crazy buying paper and pens as well... and cute little crafty craft materials I'll never have time enough to use... until I get that month-long vacation in Herculaneum and have time to sit in the sun in an ancient house, creating crafty little art projects I probably won't be able to get back through Customs....

What's the matter with Spendi? Eh? I would feel just as indignant as Justa at the moment!

Lovely panels. Even with crappy paper your work is fabulous.

::smoochies::

I agree! What's wrong with Spendi? I like her! ::growls at Mama Mus::

I suppose one might think she's a bad influence on the men of the household, but Mama Mus probably means she should learn how to keep the household properly maintained and cleaned for Baby Mus's familial requirements. (And have you seen that girl? Out to here! I know men have their privileges and a new life is supposed to be a blessing and all that, but she probably can't even reach Justa's hair to comb it! Tsk. Tsk.)

Pshaw. They'll just have to set her free (before the baby is born, of course).

Pshaw! Indeed!

There might be a few legal hoops to jump through--Spendusa's underage, her mistress is underage, her mistress's husband is underage, her mistress's own legal status is a bit wonky. But what with the urgent extenuating circumstances... (have you seen that girl? Out to here!)

I'm looking for flaws and can't see any! :D

And I love the dichotomy of Mus getting his first lesson in how to please the ladies, while Justa gets her instruction in how to please a husband. I've got a feeling nothing bodes well for Justa if the maid is about give evidence as grim as her expression!

I don't know, I think she looks kind of sneaky, like she has a very nice and juicy secret to tell. I do wonder if this wasn't rigged somehow, the Mrs. (I forgot her name) disappearing like that all convenient-like so that the servant can talk about all the dirty details that a Proper Lady does NOT discuss.

What, didn't you hear the phone ring? I mean, the wetnurse calling? I'm sure I heard the phone ring.

I love it.

Did I miss something, or did you skip part LV?

Yes. I was closer to finishing the inks for this one and, since I hadn't updated for most of last week, I thought it was better to keep moving. I think LV was funny, but there wasn't any actual plot :)

Aw, shucks, thanks.

But you might have to have a discussion with Felix over who gets to take care of Spendi... I'll just stay out of the way....

That is MADE OF AWESOME. And how can you say we didn't miss too much in part 2? We missed finding out what "it" is!

melodious drawing, harmonious panels

This part has beautiful orchestral music in it, wafting in from the street. Which seems absurd given that Romans didn't have orchestras, and that even in the 21st century you don't put orchestras in a street.

How about a bunch of guys with panpipes and a portable water organ? Okay, not really an orchestra :D

Also, thank you ::blush:: ::blush::

I was going to purchase that die myself, but spent my last $18,000 on some silly medical stuff instead. I wish I had the skills to create a facsimile of it. I wonder if there are any photos of the other sides.

And I might have to ask permission to illustrate that lj entry :D
