Money talks. At least more than most of the people in these panels. (grin)

As for the drawings -- the last panel is really cute. Kids...

I'll make up for it with lots of talking in the next one.

Yeah--cute kids... what could possibly be wrong with this couple, what could possibly go wrong with their long and happy lives together...? >:)

I guess new coins were just as much a novelty as a new kind of euro is for us... I still haven't got all the euro coins on the move. (And no, I'm not going to buy a collecting package - you need to have picked them yourself. It's a game.)

I love the earrings, as usual. Now where did I put those glass beads... I need to make again some jewellery.

And I love the way of money. From the clerk to the father to Mus to Iusta... =)

I am also very addicted to the earrings. I must have! ^_^

I loved the progression and the last panel is VERY sweet.

I could do a whole page just on Iusta and Seianti going shopping for pretty earrings. The girl does have to add some sparkle to the outfits in her trousseau, after all.

Earrings!

And I must express some love for the third panel, which is almost as sweet as the last one. That look between them!

So maybe Felix was right to be confident that the two of them would become good friends and good partners :) I'm not too sure about the "good husband and wife" part of the package, but nobody's perfect.

The next installment will clarify. I really need to draw more rows at a time :)

If so, that means it's at least June (probably more likely July since it would take time to make the molds, make the coins, and for them to get from wherever the mint is (Rome?) to Pompeii/Herculaneum), and that means boomtime is just around the corner...

Yeah, it'd have to be one of the first few such coins in town, sped there by some business connection. It'd have had to be September or October before you'd have seen coins of Titus in great quantity in the marketplace and people's purses in this neck of the woods.

Now I can only think about how awesome the Year of Four Emperors must have been, for Romans who liked to collect coins.

Collect 'em while you can, 'cause they're going fast...
