Rub a dub dubHey, look, it's lucky number XX! Just pretend this one was posted on Tuesday. It counts if I haven't slept yet, right?

"Offering" - I must remember that.
And, remarkable, the suspense generated in the second row ...

It will be a big reveal: Felix without his curls! He may lose his irresistible sex appeal without the tousled locks :)

I like the way we're introduced to the baths by an emperor who's making friends with birds, anticipating by several centuries another fellow Italian, Saint Francis of Assisi.

I might make the plaza a little fancier, add more people, later on if I feel so inclined. At 3 in the morning, it's a wonder I managed the birdies :)

Tomorrow is only after you've slept. ;)

Which one of them is going to slap the other first? It sure sounds like it.

I like this a lot.

The little argument in the background adds good flavor. Also, Felix in the top far right panel is yummeh. It's a to look at him before he cuts off all his pretty hair. ::sob::

Tidy, huh?

It looks 'tidy', huh? Now there's a non-commital comment if I've ever seen one. "How do you like my new haircut dear?" He thinks... "I liked it long and silky better" but says "It looks tidy, dear." Been there, learned my lesson. DRW

Those Romans: famous for tidy haircuts. At least the Egyptians had wigs. And eyeliner. I don't know why more guys don't opt for eyeliner.

Good point. I assume you know this from personal experience, of course.

HEY! YOU GRADDYATED!!!! HURRRAAAAHHHH!

I've fallen behind on everybody's news! This deserves some sort of super-indulgent gift, and right now I pretty much only manage to get things done I can scribble and draw so... hmm... ::plots evilly::

I think Kris Dresen once wrote something like "I think that the reason why there are so many Jack Sparrow cosplayers at conventions is that it gives straight guys a reason to put eyeliner"

Naw, it's so you can swish when you walk in a drunken line which somehow gets you from point A to point B at precisely the right time... to get slapped. (grin)

You know the relationship's working when the boyfriend starts arguing with professionals over how he's cut your hair...

Ah, good times.

PS All volcano-related hysteria has died down, but only say the word, and I swear it will bubble right up again (! - if it explains anything, a while ago I watched 'Pompeii; the last Days' until the television exploded, so I get a little jittery). You have been warned.

Perhaps if I put in some references to the time of year, that will calm any anxiety about whether the volcano is in imminent danger of losing its composure. Because, as everyone knows, the volcano erupted in... oh, but that would be a spoiler, right? ;)

nice to see you are back for real and that the new strips are lovely. When february started, you had me worried for a moment or two.

I'm really back, except for occasionally falling asleep early in the evening :)

I've set myself a goal for the next six weeks to do about 5 comics a week—that should be easier than 24-hour-comics Day, I hope!

Mus' misses Felix's curls! Except for the ones he kept... :D

And the argument between the rival hairstylists is brilliant (and timeless).

ImageThe "expert" is probably thinking Mus needs something more along the lines of this hairstyle. Nice and tidy!

Have I hauled out this picture before? It's a bust that was found in the house I've placed Mus's family in. I love that house. When I'm rich as Crassus, I'm having it re-created in the miniature Herculaneum I'll have on my vast acreage.

I realize now I thought that Mus and Justa were between panels, as it were, when he moved in.

"Not if... "

Hmmm.

sheesh.

I was busily trying to think of ways to use "between panels" as a euphemism for nookie.

But, yah, the timeline could be made a little clearer, I think. Justa really wants that big wedding, with the cake and the dress and veil and the flowers and the banquet and the ritual kidnapping and all. It's what every girl dreams of... I would've settled for getting to have the pretty dress, myself... though nothing beats a nice big banquet with drunken carousing.
