Heh. I've taken the whole week off from drawing. Maybe that's why I'm sleepy--the brain requires more artistic stimulation than it's had the past few days.
Or, I was awake for 40 hours straight a few days ago and haven't gotten much rest since. Hmm...
I think she's clearly got us right where she wants us. I mean, haven't *we* all cancelled our Friday night events in anticipation of another comic? Um, well, okay, some of us don't actually have social lives.
I vote for something completely different: I think Miss Klio is misdirecting us and those are actually 2 old friends who are so elated to see Felix that they must call out to him in a derogatory manner because that is what guys do instead of *squee-ing*
Hmmm. let's try this again. As I was saying... "I think Miss Klio is misdirecting us and those are actually 2 old friends." Yes, I fear you are right. But now it's time to get back to my own lack of social-life, unless Klio can fire up the Transporter and gather everybody in some mutually acceptable location so all of us mis-fits can have an evening together. Ready Klio? Or do you just wanna do a panel with all of us in Roman garb... maybe hanging around the forum (yeah, it's a lot safer than the bath-house) DRW, heading for the kitchen.
Could be, in which case the next scene will be all hugs. Maybe even hugs in a bath house.
I vote that while Klio is pre-occupied with her social event, we put a little loose change in her tip jar to surprise her. Then she might just feel beholden enough to create a custom panel of her faithful readers toga-fied.
But only after she has time to get a few more SPQR strips posted.
What am I doing here scanning incoherent 24-Hour Comics? I should be quitting my job and going to live vagabond-like at the dig in the vague hope they'll let me rootle around in the dirt with a toothbrush, or deliver coffee, or something!
Okay, I'll scan the rest of the pages first. Promise.
If you deliver coffee and donuts to the dig at Herculaneum, they'll make you a 'producer'. At least that's what I hear. Drink warm tea, have a piece of coffee cake, think profound thoughts, draw pretty pictures. We'll check again in the morning. DRW
