Hour 6 or 7 (or thereabouts) of the 24-Hour Comics Day challenge. I coaxed the laptop and scanner to behave, so here's the last row on this sheet of illustration board. And now I'm running late for work, so more scans late tonight.

This is the point where the piano-player suddenly stops playing, and everyone ducks behind the bar with their sarsaparilla.

You know, for having drawn for hours and hours, this is all really good stuff.

Kissies.

I was worried everybody was going to start looking like Death Note characters. Seriously. But the more hours passed, the more the essence of my inner scribbler rose to the forefront. Also, Felix's nose gets progressively bigger :P

Dude! I saw the intro (?) episode of Death Note the other nite...Odd but interesting...And found it on random.

awesome job...It's an "Ut Oh" moment...Like from a particular cantina...in a movie set in a galaxy far far away....

:D

Felix shot first?

I'm not sure whether I would have gotten so deeply into the grip of the story if I'd seen the Death Note anime before seeing the pen-and-ink art, which I spend a lot of time just staring at in envy. Odd but interesting. The characters have me hooked.

Felix's nose getting bigger is a very good thing. I like big noses. ^_^

I'm playing a game of Where's Chris Meloni? now. I found one. xD

I do agree with kyleen66. You're still pretty damn good.

I wanted there to be, like, forty guys in the Blues lounge.

Then I recovered, and just drew ten Chris Melonis.

Then I recovered, and stuck on some different heads and bodies :D

While you may have felt pretty punchy while doing these, I think in your heart (and mind) you know the story and the characters, and the sleep deprevation merely allows you to release the creativity. This is all great stuff!

You may have something there.

As I mentioned as I was posting along the way, the story started ballooning out in the middle. The characters were definitely in charge. And everyone wanted their "For Your Consideration..." Oscar-worthy scene :D

They look awesome, honestly. The dogs on the floor! *pets dogs* The art on the cups!

I had just said some of that very think to our artist. I think the details that she keeps up with, the cup art (along with the dogs) is extraordinary considering she'd been drawing for hours.

Souvenir mugs from arena events, with your favourite gladiator on 'em.

Really, they had those.

Well, you have to have a dog. Especially if you don't have socks, to keep your toes warm :D

I love the sceptic curve of Felix's mouth and eyebrow on panel three. It sort of screams for an "O rly?" icon...

Beautiful art, considering. Moar!

Egad, my computer goes down for a couple of days and all manner of 'comic' adventures happen. I should have breakdowns more often. Ahh well, I can't afford to buy a new computer every day. Now if I can just get my e mail up and working, I'll be good to go. Keep at it Mighty Klio! DRW
