SPQR Blues 3 part LXXIX

I couldn't find my fine-line pen today (maybe left at work, along with the good eraser), so I only inked the parts I felt I could do with the gigantic 01 pen. I know, I wouldn't have this problem if I ever drew faces larger than a dime.

Well, Mus cleans up pretty good. But he doesn't look as imperial as Felix does. There is a frightening calm look to Felix in panel I -- something of the "plans in the making" and "don't mess with Felix". I love panels II and III. The girl, nay, young lady -- she not be stupid.

Under her dress she's wearing a t-shirt that says, "I may be small and fluffy, but my mother was Vitalis." On the back it says, "...and I was raised in Calatoria Themis' house." It's, er, so much more pithy in Latin :D

I love this comic! I'm glad you've recovered from your battle wounds. (also the half pencil/half inked is really interesting and looks as though it could be for emphasis!)

Since I couldn't find one of those 005 pens in my (very brief) tour of art supply stores today, I might again post a half pencil/half inked comic. Maaaybe. I'm still a little bit loopy, so going to sleep is looking awfully tempting right now. But if not a new comic tonight, definitely tomorrow :)

That's Justa (daughter of Vitalis and Stephanus) and Mus (son of the fish-pickle entrepreneur and cousin-or-something to Felix). I am sure it will be much clearer once it's all inked....
