I fell asleep before finishing the inking/erasing, particularly on the last panelpost-surgery medicationbut that should be an easy thing to touch up later.
Tell me where you are doing to be at later today (home or office.). I want to call you and tell you about my current Denver Con adventures and I need to check up on you too! (It's the Mama in me.)
I do need to get into the office today, but I probably won't get there until mid-day--11 or 12. I took an anti-hurty pill this morning and am going to wait a bit and see how that goes :P Until then, I am half-snoozing, half surfing. I think I will snooze for an hour or so.
Iusta: young, cute, and an heiress. What could go wrong? (Hey, she suddenly reminds me of Silfa. But maybe things will go a little bit less weirdly for her :D ).
Wonderful as always. Poor Iusta. Sweet Mus. And, of course, Felix who is often hungry.
I'm not sure if it's my short attention span or if you're twisting the plot yet again, though. Should I know the identity of the fella who calls her sister?
Hope you feel better soon and thanks for keeping the story coming.
I'm trying very hard to make that fella look consistently the same, but all I can usually manage is his hairline, kind of sort of. Caius, Stephanus' overworked secretary/bookkeeper. I like the way I drew him here best (lower right-hand panel) (http://10kd.outsidefood.com/archives/000716.html), and I should do some itty-bitty-sketchbook sketches of him until I have his look completely figured out.
But, no, he's never referred to her as sister before.
Felix is just impatient to get to the post-funeral feast.
Always with the plots within plots within plots. I love it -- so many unfinished conversations going on simultaneously. I'm assuming the center column of two panels are events going at the same time from different POV's.
Yes. I wanted to do more with showing Iusta in the background where Felix and Mus are talking, and vice versa, but... uhm... er... I'm on pain medication! Yes! That's my excuse for the next week! For everything! :)
I wonder why I can't see the comic ? It seems everybody else can, so it must come from y computer... I can't access to http://spqrblues.com/ either. I always get the "connection reset" error page. The same applies to http://10kd.outsidefood.com/ and it has been going on for at least a week.
I certainly hope it doesn't! This is the first I've heard of trouble, and I know I have some readers from outside the United States. I'll ask around and see if anyone has any suggestions.
I wonder if it could happen that, once the browser cannot find a website on the first try, it then "thinks" the website cannot be accessed and so doesn't try again....
You mentioned having the trouble for a week; is this the first time you've tried to read the comic, or were you able to see it in the past? Can you see it on this mirror site (http://www.webcomicsnation.com/klio/spqrblues/series.php?view=archive&chapter=21697&name=spqrblues)? (I had some trouble uploading today's image, but the previous ones are online there. I must also fix the layout, but that's another issue....)
I can see the comic on webcomics nation just fine, yes. I remember reading the Comic before, but it was several months ago, and I think it was hosted somewhere else.
Ah, yes. It was formerly hosted on ComicGenesis (http://spqrblues.comicgenesis.com), until their servers became terribly unreliable and were offline for weeks at a time.
I don't use IE, but I know that since I've got to Version 2.x of Firefox, that it's been a lot more picky about giving up on sites which might take some time to load. Two things you can try. (1) Clear the cache. That will force Firefox to look up the page fresh, and not listen to what it found before. (2) Firefox itself suggests that you can increase the time it takes before it gives up on a page request. I think the Can't Connect box says how to do this, but I can't see anything obvious in Tools | Options...
I have cleared the cache, and it still doesn't work. It doesn't say anything in the can't connect box about what I should do... IE only suggest that I check my connection.
I'll keep trying to upload the latest image on Webcomicsnation--at least you'd be able to see it there, if we cna't solve the mystery of why images hosted on my server won't go through.
Well I've asked a friend (also in France) and he can see the site just fine. So the problem comes from me. It happens on both computers in this house, so it comes either from the modem-router or from the Internet Provider...
