SPQR Blues 3 part LXVI (a third row)
Wednesday, 18 July 2007 05:53 pm
This was intended to be the third row of part LXVI, so I'll call it that rather than give it its own number. There was only one panel left to do this morning, and the weather was so bad the boss said it was okay to come in late, so... I inked for a little while. Well, I would have been spending that time eating breakfast or something, so might as well use it for art, yes? Though that last panel ended up a little rushed. The boss is nice, but does actually expect me to work occasionally....

Date: 2007-07-19 05:37 am (UTC)The scene really is very different than originally imagined, but sometimes characters pummel you on the inside of the head and say, "No no no, yuck, do you see how much hair oil he uses, I don't know where he's been, blech." Seriously. Characters do that. You know how it is.

Date: 2007-07-19 06:38 am (UTC)The current storyline is presumably an attempt to establish the baseline of "what the average Roman-in-the-street might have thought" as opposed to modern perspectives. (To say anything else would be a spoiler, I suppose.) But I'll try to keep the story speeding along.
