SPQR Update (#LXII)

Friday Update: Finished the inks over lunch. Alas, there is still no scanner at work.

Thursday news: Pencils are nearly done, and I'll move right along to inking so there can be a Thursday Friday update.

This is Thursday, isn't it? I get so easily confused....

The archives will be moving to a new address: www.spqrblues.com. The ComicGenesis servers are simply too unreliable.

I'm still inking, so, for the curious, a scan of the spoilery, somewhat incoherent pencils is here.

I'm going to try to make it a double update, too, to make up for what is sure to be another long gap between installments. Apparently I inadvertently agreed to be sole transportation to and from a convention this weekend, plus took up an offer to share a hotel room without realising my share of the cost was the only way the people could afford the room, so it looks highly likely I'll be... at a convention this weekend. I don't think I'll have much time or energy for drawing if this happens (if I'm driving to a vonfricken convention, I am going to attend the vonfricken convention, dagnabbit). I blame this all on my appallingly bad hearing and tendency to have convention-related conversations in noisy bars and restaurants. It's only a three and a half or four hour drive, so I'll keep my fingers crossed the weather isn't appallingly bad, too, because then my brain will simply have to implode.

I'd much rather spend the weekend curled up with pencils and pens... and with the boatload of work I need to get done... ::nyargh::

Von Fricken?

A Von Fricken convention? Wow, those don't come along every weekend. Last I heard the Von Frickens had all been driven out of Tomania and had returned to Strakentz with the Evil Count Doofus. Please tell us how it all turns out. DRW.

The Von Frickens reunite once a year in... er... Boston, apparently.

But it looks like I'm not going after all. Or maybe I'll make it a daytrip Saturday, so I can go to the Von Fricken physics lectures, but still have time to draw. Hmmm. We shall see.

Arrgh, that's Vitalis, isn't it? Things don't look good, do they? But at least she got one good thrust home... the fork is nicely blooded. Keep drawing as I keep writing, have fun with the Von Frickens. DRW.

Inks are complete. Whew. The next installment is started. Whew. Expect to hear more about the bloody fork....
