SPQR Pencils (LXI)
Saturday, 30 June 2007 12:22 pm
I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't get out of bed this morning until I finished at least the pencils for the next installment. It might not sound like such a hardship, lying in bed in the sunny morning light with illustration board and pencils. But there are things a lady needs to do in the morning... like... uhm... putting on makeup and curling her hair, that sort of thing, yeah.In any case, I did finish the pencils. The great thing about not having a lot of dialogue is not having to do all that lettering. The bad thing about it is not having dialogue to cover up all the parts of the picture you just don't feel like drawing.
The next promise: no sleep for me until the inking is done. I am determined. Grrr.
Pencils below the cut. They are extraordinarily spoilery.

Date: 2007-06-30 05:56 pm (UTC)It was perched outside my office window the other day. I stared at it happily for a while, it stared back at me, then it occurred to me I could grab a sheet of paper and sketch it, about a minute before it spotted something breakfasty and flew off.

Date: 2007-06-30 06:08 pm (UTC)I've done my webpage edits I owed a client, cleaned my kitchen, and probably started a flame war.
It IS good to be me.
(You'll enjoy my little war... I'll e-mail you the link to protect the guilty.)

Date: 2007-07-01 12:26 pm (UTC)We get a mad variety of birdies up where I live (your garden-variety crows, blue jays, red-winged blackbirds, pigeons, and sparrows are the most common, but others show up from time to time), but no falcons swooping around as far as I've seen.

Although I usually disagree with what the photographer has to say about things, the photography is just stunning!
