"They like my sausage rolls."

This seems like bad innuendo, but also very good eating, if taken literally.

And hi, I'm a fan! XD Don't think I've posted before~

ROFL! Y'know, I completely missed this on first read. I *love* reading other people's comments and getting their insights! Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] serindrana!

(maybe I need a macro icon - "i'm in ur blog steelin ur incites")

Anyway, I also wanted to add, poor Cynthia; what an awkward place for her to be in! (But at least she got a name!)

There's more than one kind of bear in Herculaneum! Maybe Vitalis will throw Calatoria off the arch.

I think Vitalis' way would be to be much more subtle and--oh, who am I kidding? She would if she could.

Get her! Get her! Go Mama! Go Mama!

Have I mentioned how much I love Vitalis lately? No?

I can't wait to see how this pans out.

Poor Cynthia. I suspect what the servents have heard is going to play a large part in all of this. You've always got them in the background listening!

I hope we get to see poor Cynthia's spunk again. I bet the conversation she overheard is NOT in Calatoria's best interests.

It was in the comic. It was where Justa's father was considering Mus and Calatoria was pushing for her cousin. Justa's father actually liked Mus better I believe.

THAT'S probably what will come out in court. But it'll be a long road to get there.

Oh right! See, those of us with short attention spans need to be able to read the whole comic in one sitting. Just sayin'

I admit to not knowing what is to become of Mus. I don't see an obvious happy future for him. If Mus gets the girl then Felix is unhappy which makes Mus unhappy. He and Cynthia are now my favorite characters, but it wouldn't make much sense to pair *them* off.

Oh, I don't know; I think Iusta is a little young for Felix's tastes. Maybe Mus could marry Iusta and Felix could marry Vitalis. Then Felix could be Mus' stepfather-in-law as well as his cousin.

Or maybe - here I'm going way out on a limb - Felix could marry Calatoria Themis! After all, in that vital-licious colored-in strip, Vitalis told Felix that someone had taught him how to please a woman. Maybe no one taught Petronius and THAT's why Calatoria looks so miserable all the time.

I'm just going to sit in the back of the room and snicker a whole lot :D

Felix gets the girl... what girl?

Then again, Felix could run away with Spendusa and let the others get covered in ash. Then they would ALL have their riches forever. DRW

I *do* like Felix and Spendusa together!

let the others get covered in ash. Then they would ALL have their riches forever.

You know, I think that's exactly what the prophecy was implying!

Even when she's growling, Vitalis looks so much more warm and comfy than the stepmonster. Kind of like a slightly beat up LazyBoy vs. a harsh angled, expensive designer chair. No wonder the dearly departed had sex with her.

I was going to say something about Calatoria Themis being so harshly angled because she doesn't get enough sausage rolls, but my brain was already in the gutter and that absolutely wouldn't help. So I guess I won't say that. Nope. Nope.

May I make an icon with Vitalis, with the subcaption "My sausage rolls bring all the boyz to the yard" May I pretty please?

Hehe. Everyone is welcome to make any icons they choose from the characters. Except the icons are not allowed to say anything mean about Marcus Antonius (the original model). Them's fighting words, I tell you.

Somehow I hadn't tumbled to this, though now that you say it I think I remember hearing it before. Thank you for the reminder! *huggles*

hee hee! Now I'm picturing Vitalis glaring at Calatoria and adding, "Damn right they're better than yours!"

Vitalis knows that a lie with some truth in it is easier to pull over someone's eyes. Oops, broke my metaphor-meter again. It overloaded on last night's Colbert Report in which Stephen Colbert had a metaphor grudge-match with Sean Penn refereed by former poet laureate Robert Pinsky.

Uhm, I mean: Vitalis is absolutely telling the absolute truth.
