Festina Lente
Wednesday, 25 February 2004 03:21 amIt's 3 in the morning. I'm just back from seeing Mel Gibson's Passion at a midnight screening plus a run to an all-night drugstore to pick up a heating pad so I don't freeze all night, and I am pondering whether to hurry up and write my movie notes right here and now or work on them during the day and post them tomorrow evening.
It's cold and too quiet in the house where I'm staying and I miss my weird cat and the comforting background drone of Roseanne and Wings on the television to lure me to sleep, and I am regretting the bizarre philosophies I yammered about during the drive from the theatre through flooded roads and around spinning hydroplaning cars, in particular the part about Quetzalcoatl and the Buddha, so I'm thinking maybe I should go to bed while I'm feeling heavyheaded and before my brain starts agitating and while I have a shot at falling asleep without the aid of Three's Company or Ambien.
Review in brief: Oh dear.
