Oooh, it really is beautiful isn't it. I do really wanna see it color... yeah, I know, buy a book on Herculaneum, it'll all be in there, along with a caste of Justa in the basement... with the little dog. You oughta have a little dog in there somewhere, you know. I'll bet Mus' sister has a little lapdog. Keep them cards and letters coming. DRW.
I made an attempt to colour it in (http://10kd.outsidefood.com/images/20070122_col.png), but as you'll see, I ran out of steam. There's almost no shading, and... no hair??!
You know, in a lot of ways I perfer black and white comics to color. But when you do take the time to color them, I'm like, "that would be cool if it were more."
I STILL say we put color pages, not the whole thing, into the next couple printed issues of SPRQ Blues. I'm betting that would be a great selling point if nothing else. "Look! You can't get these really pretty high resolution panels in the web version!"
I'll add that to our agenda items to work on and discuss when you're in town. (We need to make this a business trip for you, after all! Tax deductions. Heh.)
OH yes, the colored version looks very good. I would definitely like to see more color pages... though not at the expense of slower production. I want More color, More comic, and More boobs. Maybe a couple of chariot-chases and some explosions while you're at it... Naww, I'm getting ahead of myself. There will be plenty of chases and explosions when the Vesuvius gets down to business. Do it your way, I'll like it fine. DRW.
As we all know, boobs can talk, and when chariots collide, they always explode into flames. I saw that in the Van Helsing movie. The explosion, not the talking boobs.
Maybe every now and then I can do a colour "cover" spread. Eventually I might learn the trick of colouring in quickly--right now I fuss over it for hours. I have a huuuuge box of watercolour pencils I can try out, too, and also recently unearthed my Wacom tablet (though not the serial number for the Painter software), so it's time for some experimenting in speedy colouring! :D
Well of course they talk. Boobs talk to me all the time... "they say things like 'admire us, pet us, nuzzle us', but often the people who own those boobs say I was mistaken, they were just complaining about the weather. I have learned to be careful in accepting boob-mandates, they can be so fickle. DRW.
