Women sacrifice and die, which is what females do. Second verse, same as the first.

I now have a copy of An Inconvenient Truth in my globally-warmed hands, and will be critiquing it shortly. Finally.

I went to see An Inconvenient Truth in Kentucky last summer with Adam.

While I don't see anything that Mr. Gore said in the film to be misleading or untruthful, I would have liked it better had it given more "face" time to leading scientists and not played as much like a "pre-campaign" film for it's star.

Just my nickels worth of commentary on it. :-P

Of course we do, it's what we do best. Right alongside cursing the neighbor's cow so that she won't give milk and causing a breeze to blow up young girls' skirts and cause the men of the village to have impure thoughts.

Personally, I find riding naked on the back of a brookstick a little bit uncomfortable, but the lascivious attentions of Satan make up for it. ;-P

I saw An Inconvenient Truth recently and I have to say I really enjoyed it, I was impressed how the data and facts were presented (in a non-patronising informative way). And it's a surprisingly entertaining watch given its subject matter. It'll be interesting to see what you think.

As a scientist, I found Al Gore's little home movie to be a real breath of fresh air. Focusing on scientists isn't really what people want to hear about -- plus one you start putting up talking heads, all you've done is create targets for others to shoot down. By making An Inconvenient Truth personal -- both as a personal story of growth and touring the globe and as a story of the personal impact of one teacher on his life, Gore has sidestepped the usual difficulties of celebrity endorcement documentaries. You can make all the usual Al Gore jokes about "creating the Internet" you want, but there's no question that this is something he's spent a good chunk of life working on.

It's hard to say one enjoys a warning film like AIT -- much like it is difficult to say one enjoyed Hotel Rwanda -- but I can applaud the effort. (grin)

I really liked that movie. I could not believe that an "Al Gore Powerpoint" could be so engrossing. I kept telling myself... "this is Al Gore!! and that is powerpoint!!, whats wrong with you?!" but to no avail. I was still captured in it. What a good movie. Furthemore, I went to the website and I started doing things in the list to try and be carbon neutral.

P.S. It probably wasnt really powerpoint... seeing how he as mac type person.
