The Morning AfterI'm not sure if this one will make sense to everyone (or anyone but me), but I attempted to turn in a different direction than the first thing that came to mind for the theme.

I'm sorry, I get the sense this is based off of something "serious" but all I can think is that it's a re-creation of the one scene from V for Vendetta. It's the rose, you know. *grins*

All Fawksian comments aside, I really like this. :-D I'll be going to vote for it shortly.

I've had V for Vendetta on loan from Netflix for, like, 3 months. I should probably watch it :P

As Usual, the Graphic Novel is much better than the movie, however, the Movie does bring into play some interesting angles and ideas and concepts that are not explored in the novel - so together, the novel AND the movie I think compliment each other quite well.

And...how can you possibly pass up Elrond and Agent Smith as V?? I mean, seriously...And he *really* does some excellent "emotion" with the mask on, very good job, he gets a [big] cookie.

Since I'm a huge Hugo fan, it's weird it's taking me so long to put the DVD in the player and just watch the thing. Some sort of mental block. Last night I saw a page from the Graphic Novel in an original-art exhibit--the universe is nudging me :P

Nice piccy's, as usual.

I'm really not certain of the background, but here is my guess.

I get a feeling of sadness from it. There's what I believe is a wedding picture up on the wall, but the main character is alone is bed. She's loooking off to the side of the bed where it clearly shows no one has slept. Then the nex panel is all her black clothes.

So I'm going for the "morning after" the day she buried her husband. The rose was from that.

:-(

Next Strip Fight I'm going back to snarky kitties and talking boobs. Those are always popular.

Is that a Bowler hat? It makes me think of The Unbearable Lightness of Being.

Er... uhm... wasn't meant to be. I had second thoughts about trying to draw a hat. I shoulda left it out. I probably should have thought of a completely different idea :D

No, keep it in! It was the first thing I thought of when I looked at the overall scene and I love that book.
