Oooh! New Felix! Yay!

Hope you're feeling some better. We tried to be very good and not bug you too much...

And why am I thinking about Monty Python's routines about the joys of chartered accountancy? (grin)

Ooo, with my favourite song line ever! "It's fun to charter an accountant, and sail the wide accountancy!"

I'm pretty much better, thank you, though I do have a yucky test at the doctor on Monday. Whee! More fodder for the future TMI installations of Daily Angst. Lucky, luck readers. Felix first, though, because he complains the loudest in my head. There's probably a medication for that, but drawing works, too :P

Poor felix. He bails on the family business and ends up dealing with the same crap.

A man cannot escape his destiny...

Also, he should have edited his resume before handing it in to the recruitment office. That does wonders for avoiding destiny.

I don't think Felix's actions in panel #5 are in accord with GAAP. But eh, I could be wrong. ;)

The comics always go much faster when there aren't a lot of words.

I'd started this one weeks ago (with a slightly different layout and slant), discarded it when I just couldn't make it make sense; so when I started again today, it had been percolating in my head for a long time....

Working on number 39 now :)

Whee! If I can't have SPQR (or Itty-Bitties, or DailyAngsts) daily, I'll take a whole slew of 'em at once. What the heck is a slew, anyway?

What is a slew? It's less than a scad but substantially more than oodles. I thought everybody knew that. DRW.

So where is his muse the war goddess now?! Doesn't like them accounting scrolls, eh? Wimp.

There's a line in the movie The Right Stuff where one of the test pilot wives says she can't stand talking to her old friends, as they talk about how cutthroat their husbands' business is -- when 1 out of 4 test pilots are crashing and burning (literally). War is hell -- war accounting, now there's the ticket! (grin)
