Aren't there videogames from Japan in which you do ordinary jobs such as being a commuter train conductor? "Vitalis' Tavern" could be like that, only with togas and eye candy. If you run a good shop, you'll get dishier customers.
Ah well, you'll all have to come to the comic instead for your dose of daily Roman life. (Speaking of daily, the next comic will be posted late in the day tomorrow--I need to rest my hand tonight after shovelling snow and a busy busy day, so will also wait until morning to reply to more of the comments above unless I get a second wind.
