Update update: The computer is definitely dead and gone, and the tech guys very nearly discarded my data, too (someone apparently checked the "ok to erase data" box on the form, so I was lucky I stopped in at the repair shop just in time to save the data). I was pricing the cost for one of the older model laptops--closeout prices--but the sales guy was so determined to treat me like a complete moron, lecturing me and badgering ("Are you going to buy this or what?"), there's no way I'm buying anything from these people. Well... I'll have to give them somewhat over a hundred dollars to get my old data transferred onto an external drive. Gah. I hate being treated like dirt when I'm trying to give someone a huge quantity of my savings. Maybe I'll feel better if I draw about it.
In the last panel, the sales guy will be eaten by bears.
Update update update: I am at the Apple Store having the BEST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER, with two incredible sales guys named (nice) Neil and (multilingual) Dmitri. I have no idea how I'll afford this computer, but at least these people are great at the whole "don't make the customer cry" thing.
