spqrblues: Ave Sweetums Rose (Default)
Did everyone see this (spoiler warning) in last night's episode of LOST?

The "S" and the "A" were easy to catch when watching the episode. On a very quick zip through a list of symbols, it looks to me like:

S
sign Z4B (or Y or J)
sign J21C (Aa21C)
A
sign Z6

But, I don't know the phonetic value (or word meaning) of the other three signs, and I'm working up the courage to ask the very serious-minded folks on the language mailing list I belong to.

P.S. - Thank you, anonymous virtual person, for the anonymous virtual flower and chocolates. They were both delicious.

P.P.S. - So, maybe it could be: S; Y/J (two diagonal lines); DA (or the meaning "hale" or "divide"; the image of a firedrill); A (or the meaning "king," maybe? Or the sun god?); ? [can't find phonetic value] or the meaning "death" or "die." Could be. I could be completely idiotically off base. It is beyond me without a real reference book to consult.
